Description

This unique fermented black tea from China’s Yunnan province is believed to have been consumed for almost 5000 years. Tavalon's Pu-erh tea is made by fermenting only the whole leaves of Camellia sinsensis, the same plant that used for making green, oolong, and black teas. Organic Ripe Pu'er features a woody and hearty flavour and aroma, making it a pleasing yet highly beneficial and popular beverage among true origin tea lovers.

    Jason W. ★★★★★

The whole-leaf fermentation really comes through — much smoother and earthier than the dusty pu'er bags I used to buy. Been drinking it every afternoon for a week and it never turns bitter, even when I forget and let it steep too long.

    Mia ★★★★★

Brewed a pot this morning and the whole-leaf fermentation really shows—the liquor turns a deep, almost ruby brown and steeps smooth without any bitterness. It’s got that comforting, mellow warmth that makes me want a second cup right now.

    Violet ★★★★★

The fermentation on these whole leaves gives a deep, earthy brew that’s smooth and not at all bitter. I’ve been sipping it every afternoon for a week now, and the flavor just keeps evolving.
